As you browse the websites, watch videos, and do your own research, you will see that there is a large difference in how individuals use essential oils. Some are extremely lenient with the amount of oil used. Some are extremely cautious. Some fall somewhere in-between. I guess I am that person. I tend to fall somewhere in-between. I am a bit more lenient with essential oil use for myself, but a lot more cautious when I advise others. I also am a lot more cautious when it comes to use with the elderly, children, or sensitive ones.
It helps a lot to have a list of safety guidelines to refer to when needed, and a dilution chart handy. CLICK HERE for both of those things to make your essential oil decisions a little easier!
Just for a quick tip: I have always used only 1-2 drops of each oil in a 10ml. roller bottle topped with my favorite carrier oil (usually Fractionated Coconut oil, Grapeseed oil, or Olive oil) with use on children. I have always had great results. My thought is to start with less, and you can always add more, if needed. I actually have never needed to add more, and so I am a firm believer in "less is more"! See what works for you!
